Tone Generator Pro App Reviews

This app works as advertised but has no musical key or note info...more an engineering curiosity than musical tuning aid.

Anybody figure out what the stupid bouncy wheel is about other than something to play with when board. Bring back the sweep wheel. Impossible to check for room ring freq or crossover point as now know way to adjust freq unless you already know it and manually punch it in.

Wow, I cant believe this passed testing. The frequency slider on the HZ page is broken. Someone had too much time and too little talent.

I didnt purchase this app to be entertained, I purchased it as an "on the go" alternative to my arbitrary function generator in situations where a little ad hoc trouble shooting was needed. Unfortunately, the author doesnt seem to understand what the app is used for. Instead of a simple, functional, instantly comprehensible interface, they chose to implement a gimmicky childish, video game-esque "magic wheel" which bounces and spins like a ships compass in the Bermuda Triangle. If the UI is revised to something an adult would find less vexatious in the middle of a testing session, I would be happy to write a more favorable review.

The functionality of this app is somewhat impaired by its UI. Although the oscilloscope like circle is nice to look at, changing the frequency generated should be easier than changing the individual digits. There is no reason ever to change the digits individually over just entering a different number for the frequency.

Total crap now. Cannot even tune an accurate frequency now. It doesnt allow fine tuning. What dev thought that was a good idea. Lets not even talk about the default dial rotation functionality.

Prior to this complete overhaul I would have given 5 stars all day, every day. It was one of the few tools available that was truly useful and the one I told everyone who would listen to check out. Hopefully Performance Audio pays attention to these reviews and corrects the mistake by restoring the previous version with nothing more then optimization for latest hardware. Im restoring the previous version from my backup and if your reading this before upgrading make sure you back yours up before doing so. If your considering purchasing it DONT DO IT!

New UI ruined what used to be my go to daily frequency generator. It was extremely useful and is now being removed from my phone and forgotten. Its a shame the dev ruined an amazing app.

Before the interface was completely redesigned, this app was 5 stars and could be used semi-professionally. Now its a gimmick and no longer useful. I have to delete this app and find something else. I paid for this app too so I am not happy at all that they decided to ruin this app.

Review I wrote several years ago: Took a job teaching physics where there was not much equipment to work with. Needed a wave generator for sound demos. This worked great. Review now: Hadnt used the app in a while. It used to be a great app to demo resonant frequency of a tube by using the wheel sweep function. Opened it up in front of my class not aware of the re-design and found it now totally unusable with the new interface. Disappointing and embarrassing.

Used to be easy to use, latest update is baaaaaad.

Affordable good quality.

Particularly useful for bothering the ederly in your life, being that their sense of hearing does pickup high frequency noises.
